Yeah I tried upping the idle but no luck unless it's up around 1800rpm.
I wonder if an 84-85 blower would work, my 84 se seems to blow twice as hard.
Another thing about this rb Holley is its so freaking sensitive that even under normal conditions if you just barely crack the throttle above idle the motor will start quivering then smooth back out once it gets above say 1500.so I'm not sure if what your talking about off the stock carb world work? Oh it normally idles at around 800rpm.

I will take a pic of what I did and get it posted as soon as I can. Basically I fabbed a bracket that holds the diaphragm in a position to slightly open the throttle. You dont use a vacuum port on the carb, you just "T" into one of the vacuum lines on the intake (manifold vacuum).
When u figure that out- figure out how to cut the air vent under the steering off. Mine blows extra hard and I figure it would put more air out to the ones that really matter-the ones that blown in my face. The one under my steering just goes round and round and ya can't just shut it off. I guess I could just go all ghetto and tape it up. Hummmmmmm. Now that's my kind of fix. Lol

Ok cy I figured out the vent under the steering for us. That turning **** just snaps on and off that plastic tube, it makes it easier to see if you just pull it off. Once off you'll notice that it's two parts, and half of each part is solid so you can actually turn them to block of the air flow completely. Then just snap it back in the plastic tube.
I still haven't tried making that factory part work on my Holley yet, mostly cause I can't remember were the heck I put all my stock carb parts. I'm way too young to have such a sucky memory lol

Yeah it does blow a touch harder, if your sitting in the seat like your driving you should be able to reach down and and just kinda twist it as you pull it off.that tube is a pretty soft plastic do I shouldn't take much effort.
