79 Limited Edition Rx-7

Who out there remembers the 1200 limited editions that were produced
in 1979. Has anybody took the time to restore one of these. I have one in my basement and can't decide to part it out for my SCCA IT-7 racer or do I try to
restore it. I am the second owner, I have owned it since 1980.

Is it the Leather Sport one? It's a museum piece if it's in good condition. I think you could buy several other 1st gens for what that would sell for.

Its not an LS (thats an 80) ; its not the XX anniversary (also 80); its the Beat-Black 79 Limited of which 3000 were available. Probably the rarest SA of them all so it would be a _real_ pity if it got stripped and raced!! I think you'd get a lot of "well, you dumb ****" looks at the track if you told them where the body came from
Of course, its only worth preserving if its in some kind of restorable shape. And yeah, pix are really helpful!!
