79 Fuel pump issues
79 Fuel pump issues
Gents,
Living the corona life with two little ones has got my brain in a bind. Here’s the issue.
79, has power at the plug in the car, 11.2-11.5 V when cranking, no power in the accessory position at the key. Pulled the fuel pump, and no problem with running it when hooked up to a stand alone battery. I have checked the fuse-able links and they are fine.
Here’s where I think the problem is, when I prob with a multimeter just for continuity I get buzzed from both the ground wire to ground(on the chassis) and the power wire to ground(on the chassis). I haven’t traced the wires back at all to see if I have a break, but I’m getting 11.2-11.5 at the power wire when cranking I would assume I would get the fuel pump to spin and I get nothing.
Any ideas on what else I should look for fellas?
