79 12a Mid/end Plates Onto Gsl-se?
Will early style 12a END/MID plates fit onto GSL-SE rotor housings to make a 4-port motor? They have already been street ported, will that make any differance?
Thanks,
Chris Stahlman

84/85 doesn't have gas nitrate coating on it? Is there any way to add it?
Doesn't it get removed after lapping for a rebuild anyhow? Can it be readded?

i just realized that he mentioned a 79. BTW, the rear plate is not tapped for oil pressure. So its either you buy a block plate (it goes between the block and oil filter) OR just tap a fitting in the rear banjo bolt. sorry about that.
anywyas, as far as I know, beginning in 79, all plates are gas nitrated (gray dull finished). Im not sure if they can be re-gas nitrated.
