7.90@168mph!!

We recently did some adjustments and ran 7.90 @ 168 MPH on our drag backhalved 1980 Rx7... We expect to improve a lot more... Just thought I'd share our happiness.... LOL If you can read spanish here you go... httx://pistonvsrotor.com/secciones/orgulloboricua/compactos/index053.html this is the most recent list of times and speeds from the best compacts in Puerto Rico... The main site is wwx.pistonvsrotor.com Edited the address because I don't know if direct links are allowed...

Details:

7:908 @ 168.95 MPH
1:143 60 Ft mark
3:236 330 Ft mark
5:013 1/8 mile
6:572 1,000 Ft mark

It would be street legal here, assuming it's older than a 1986 (and this is an SA/FB forum, so I'm assuming it is).

20 years later and ours cars are still doing new bigger better faster things.

I cant imagine how it must feel to go that fast in such a short amount of time.
I thought a 12 second pass felt pretty slick.

We still heavier, plus nhra import rules state the car must be same make on both chassis and engine... So what good does it do to have a Toyota starlet with a mazda engine that makes 7 seconds when if you're gonna race with NHRA import rules they're gonna make you race against street cars (bracket)???? Things that make you go hmmmmm.... Keep it both fast and real guys.... BTW we still 1/2 chassis (backhalved) in a 1980 Rx7 chassis with an rx7 engine... Try to slap Tranquila's engine in our car and still make the time...
