5 lug swap help

hey guys i need help! i have an 84 gsl. Im doing a 5 lug swap soon and i want to know what i need to accomplish this. the rear hubs i already have figured out, im getting a set of mosers. i need to know what parts, out of what car, i need for the front. im pretty sure i can use turbo II brake rotors and calipers all the way around or s5 brake parts? re-speed.com has the brackets to make the 4 piston calipers work and whatever came on the back of the turbo II so i wont be fabbing those. are the s5 rotors and calipers the same as the turbo II? what hubs, spindles, struts do i need for the front? i know this is a lot of questions but maybe someone has a clean cut parts list or another thread that explains in detail.

ps. i already used the forum search and just found 5 lug swaps for other generations.

that would be what im doing. my question is the rest of the parts. the re-speed kit doesnt come with rotors, calipers, 5 lug hubs and such. i just need to know what year and model rx-7 the big 5 lug brakes come off of. also what spindle/hub/strut assembly do i use.

i believe most use...turbo 2...you can use any fc 5 lug hubs...and i believe you would have to get some fc calipers...i think you can still use the strut assembly from your fb...best bet would be to ask billy..he knows all about his kits..

pm bwaits

yes you need the 5 lug hubs from a FC T2 calipers and discs, they will fit the GSL-SE / GSL spindles with the kit from ReSpeed also may need the ss lines

The 5-lug setup was on 86-88 GXL, TurboII and convertible. Nearly all but a few base cars from 89-91 were 5-lug. There's no difference across the range, so any 5-lug front hubs from 86-91 will work.

The best approach might be to just hit a junkyard and go looking. You'll need the complete hub, so just disconnect the balljoint, steering knuckle, and the two bolts to the strut upright. Cut the brake hardline at the body (hardline) and remove. You'll have to remove the caliper in order to loosen the balljoint tapered end (I think) so it's not all gonna be just one chunk, but it's not hard.

cool thats pretty much what i was looking for. someones selling a pair of 5 lug hubs with steering knuckles on ebay for pretty cheap, i may just get those. i can get 4 pot loaded calipers for 90 a piece remanufactured. i want newish stuff unless i can find the calipers for real cheap and rebuild them. the rotors i will get new.
