^ haha... The rims I had that were wobbling had oblique holes for the lugs so it could fit more then one pattern. They had to be hub centric'ed. The place that ordered the gorilla rings for me also said they could close the lug holes being they were under a center cap and drill the proper lug pattern for me which would of also fixed the problem. I opted for the cheaper try first and it worked. A real rim shop can take any rim with a centercap and do the same thing, close whatever pattern is there and drill the 4.110. That would give you a pretty big selection to choose from and probally cost just as much as the adapters.

generally I would agree with you, and I plan on buying some diamond racing steelies to get the perfect fit, but I come from VW's and I have a pile of cool 4x100 wheels, and the adapters not only swap me to 4x100 but also get the offset close enough to FWD land that I can put any of my wheels on the car, the only issue is the lack of any hub centric. but I have access to a machine shop and plan on makeing a sleeve that goes from Mazda thu the adapter to vw wheel, so everything will be a nice tight fit.
I will update with pics when everything is done. jdmminot he is probably right, unless you get the stock lug nuts cut down and have hub centric adapters made the fit will never be quite right, causing at the least of vibrations at speed.
I only bought them because it was cheeper to buy these and make sleeves then to buy 4 big chunks of alum and make my own that are right in the first place.
sorry if I

I'm not really sure what you're saying here and I don't want to be the bearer of wrong advice.... What I was speaking about was a option through a professional rim shop. My rims are aluminum. They were going to weld the orginal lug holes shut and redrill the lug pattern with a machine specificly designed to do so. The reason you could do this to any rim with a center cap is because then you avoid the hassle of having to match the orginal finish... which can also be done too if you REALLY wanted. Anyways, talk to a "professional rim shop" My advice is only to let you know of what can actually be done.

Just a small tip, if, you use factory bolts, screw the bolts into a nut ,then lock the nut into a vise, then with a small chisel knock off the chrome bolt caps which are pressed on the bolt , underneath you will find a splined shaft ,re install the caps to torque the bolts to 85lbs then remove them, you will end up with a bolt that is slightly taller than the adapter, but in most cases will fit inside the rim where they have small hollows cast into the rim, see if it works for you good luck.... .Fred

Which VDub wheels do you have? When i bought my fb i sold my 69 bug the next day, and almost kept my empi 8-spokes and did the same thing. but i didn't want to go through finding the right spacer and stuff :/ the wheels i got on my fb ended up being very nice for stock. not hardly damaged at all.

that's great! lol I only had 4 lug bolts that were two piece the rest were one piece. the two piece ones are weird.
