does anyone know what cars these ratios came out of originally and if they would fit in an 85 gs rear end or are these gears aftermarket made just for performance purposes?

As far as I know they were never offered as options from the dealer. They are for performance applications only.

I have a 5.12 rearend in my IT car. I don't know where it came from but I think you can get them from mazdacomp.
