3L220 belt for water pump/main crank

first off happy presidents day wit the free days off. so i decide to efan swap and change the belt at the same time. both were put it on pretty damn easily. but the main problem im having is the belt. its a goodyear 3L220 belt as the instructions of rx7carl. after putting it on, theres a lot of slack. i would say i could push in the belt about an inch. did i get a wrong belt?

I personally have never run the FHP belt when I was running just one belt. I used a Napa belt which is made by gates and never had slippage on any 7 I've had at any RPM.

I used a 3L220 belt from NAPA on my 85 for 3 years before I sold it, worked great, no slippage

isnt there such thing as a 3L210?

That would only be 1 cm smaller. unless thats stnd measurement, then it would be a 1nch small. Which would still be ok, mine loose too. Looks like im going to have to try and fine one thats just a bit small. Or install a tensioner pulley. One would be easy to make.
