I know of a couple of spec RX-7 racers who have stock 3rd gen mufflers on their first gens. Looks almost stock but works much better and is still fairly quiet. They have Racing Beat headers. The collector is a 2 1/2" but the pipe tapers to 3" then goes into the muffler. Great power increase.

Thanks man appreciate the compliment, well I went with a magnaflow stainless steel muffler, 3 reasons behind it, makes my exhaust work cheaper and 2) lifetime warranty if soemthing goes wrong with it, i get it replaced for free and I DONT got to take it off myslef and wag it to UPS etc.. 3) comes recommended by some of the guys here

3" is too big for proper exhaust scavenging on N/A application.
