My friend has an '85 300zx turbo, and it doesnt look like they would fit. I havent seen a second gen 300zx up close, but maybe you will have more luck with those.

i think dave attel would say hooker, so i'm going to vote hooker. who uses lights anyway? all they do is drain electrical charge from your ignition.

Yeah, weren't the 1984 Dodge Colt GLS's and Dodge Omni GLH's already Turbo?

If you mean the RX-7 GSL, then yes.

Since you're new to the forum, use the SEARCH function first.

Isn't that an 1888-1892 model? Also, are you talking the 1horsepower or the 2horsepower model? Maybe the flashing red rear light and the safety triangle would bolt right on too.

Alrighty then..

The Very Top Threads on the 1st Gen forum here are "Sticky's", meaning that it won't get bumped into non-existance by the regular post whoring that goes on here.

There is a Thread there called TII Swap into GSL-SE that has what I believe the very best links to information on this swap available anywhere.

You could also do a search with the key words
13BT, Swap, Turbo, Cosmo, etc.

Several members on this forum have already done it, and I am in the process of it myself.

AAARRGGGHH!!!!

You have *GOT* To be Kidding me, right?

I REALLY suggest that you give this idea a rest. If you have trouble deciding on what model you have, for example:

There you're saying you have an 84 GLS.
EDIT: I see you corrected it after we joked about it.

Then you did it again.

You insisted that you have a GSL.

And Now you state that you have an 86 GSL?!

Dude...You need to study RX-7's alot more before you can even think of taking on such a project. It is not for the timid, newbie, or cheapo.

In 84 they had the GSL - 1st Gen Body.
In 86 they had the GXL - and it is the 2nd GEN Body!!

So, what the hell DO you have?

The Sticky Links in the 1st Gen Forum is for all 1st Gen's, from SA's to GSL-SE's (79-85). It's just easier with a GSL-SE.

If you have a 2nd Gen (86-92) then you need to ask in the 2nd Gen Forum. I REALLY suggest that you look through their archives, and do many searches before you ask them questions that have been asked a thousand times. If you do, One of their typical responses is:

Sorry to come off kinda mean, but seriously...

"Dont get the import 12A turbo. The ports are dinky, the throttle isnt much better and without custom mods to the inlet, you cant run an intercooler.

Your best option is to get a 12A from the last of the 1st gens and get a custom exhaust manifold and mount a T2 turbo on it. A custom inlet can be had for $1000AUS and then all you need is a log style plenum and a front mount and away you go!

Done properly, you should get close to 300rwhp!"

does that guy no wat hes talkin about??
