Thumbs up 2nd gen 13B in a 1st gen winter project

i have a 13b from an FC laying around. i have a FB chassis laying around with a good title. It's only natural that the two of them in the same garage are eventually going to make sweet sweet mechanical love, you know? As far as i can tell all i need to do is put the "front cover" from a 12A and the oil pan to make it fit right? Also i'm using the Fc's tranny, do i need to use the driveshaft from that car too? I want to go carb on the 13B what carb should i use? what else do i need to do? is that about it? I get 3 weeks off in december and would like to have it done by then.. I figure if i cant get the car together by then i'll just leave the motor and chassis alone in the garage with a bottle of vodka and i'm sure when i wake up in the morning everything will be over and i'll have my 1st gen 13b.....

use a 5 letter oil pan also, and will need to modify the pickup. i would try for a jay-tech manifold and a holley 650 double pumper with mechanical secondaries. i have used this setup and loved it. if you have any weldign skills you can mock up a new manifold if you cnat locate a 6port jay-tech. (i actualy have a spare one, but not FS. i can call Jay and get one for you though) making the manifold is fairly straight forward. useing the lower part of the manifold from the 6port, you can make the new upper with a holley style plate and use a gasket to make a plate for the runners on bottom. makeing your own will allow more clearence for things ike altinator. i had to use the home-made one for an rx2 project a long time ago just because i was using an older alt.
PM me for pics if you need them. i can show you.
