Gonna be hooking up my 2nd Gen coil today and just want to make sure I took my notes correct.... In the Archives under "EASY 2nd gen direct fire install - 20 minutes" by Metallic Rock it says "9. connect leading wires to the 2nd gen coil, then to the leading plugs. Move your trailing wires to the leading position on the dizzy"
Do REALLY move my trailing wires to the leading spot on the dizzy?
I don't want to F this up so I figure I'll take my beating as a newb and ask the stupid question, rather than mess it up.

Thanks

Oh man this screws up so many people. You're not the first to ask this.

Tell us why you think it would be a good idea to move the wires. Go look under the cap and study the rotor. Try to imagine hoe the spark travels. Then try it and get back to us.

Not really following you Jeff?
I'm asking the question because I don't know the answer....It's written up this way, so I figure it's correct (or at least been corrected). I'd rather not do this twice..Seem a little counter intuative, but hey I am a newb.

Why does it seem counter intuitive to move the trailing wires over to the better voltage path? It seemed totally intuitive to me, that's why I did it and told everyone about it way back then.

So act like a tennis shoe, and just do it. (Just Do It was Nike's slogan in the late 80s).
