205/225 setups
Yesterday I went to a track day (see other thread on non-tech area) and my kumho XS give the last breath. Now I want to put the hankook RS-3 that I have in my s2000 but it only comes in 225/50/15. my wheels are 7" wide and I know that the 205 it's the perfect size for the wheels and the rx-7.
But my s2000 use stagger size and it's help with the oversteer. I would like to run 205 front and 225 in the rear. But I don't find any tires in that setup. Any one run it?. Pictures will help

BFG G-Force Sports, they are a bit pricy for the size but I've found them to be EXTREMELY predictable tires as far as slip point and even with my blown out suspension and stripped car it still did surprisingly well.
But running those tires I did/do rub the RB Front Sway Bar, I've got about a fingers width of room between the stock perch and the tire, and I'm sure I rub the fender liner a bit too.
Here's a pic of how the tires fit, I don't know the specs of the wheels as they have no markings but I'm assuming the are 15x6.5 and around 35 offset. Fenders are also rolled baseball bat style so on full squat they will bump the fender a little but nothing too crazy.

I personally don't like to run staggered setups because it eliminates the ability rotate tires front to back and side to side. Rotating tires around a track/race car helps even the wear on the tires and saves money.
If you have a handling issue with your car you should fix it with springs/shocks/sway bars/alignment/driving style and not the tires.

Darren thanks for the pictures
Mustang you are right. Actually the car handling is very good. But I will change the setup eventually for one more agressive. Either way hankooks onlt comes in 225 so, no stagger option for me.
