First, why a 20? And if you need 20 gals, you probably can't use that cell because you're road racing. Check rules before you spend money, make sure what you buy is what you can use. Most road racers will use a 15, sometimes because of rules, sometimes because our races are rarely over 50 miles.

But to answer your question, you can fit a 20 in the back of an FB with cutting just like would would have to cut for any other size.

Next question is where/how do you plan on mounting the cell? If you plan on mounting it where the stock tank is, you'll need to remove the spare tire well. If you plan on mounting it in the hatch area, it will shift the center of gravity higher. Then there's the question of how do you plan on filling it?

Removing the tire well isn't a problem, neither is dropping the tank down to lower the center of gravity. Filling the cell becomes more problematic and will vary depending on what, if any, sanctioning rules the installation must met.

isn't the stock tank like 14 or something? 20 is way to big.

My IT car came with a 16 Gal Fuel Safe cell. It was big enough to cause space issues for my exhaust. I put a 12Gal ATL cell in later to save weight and get some under car room. 12 gallons is the size that all of the IT and E Production cars use in my area. It is plenty of gas for a National Race. BTW I believe that the SCCA now requires all cells to meet FIA specs even in classes were a cell is not required - check out the lastest fastrack news at www.scca.com

Fuel cells take up more room that the stock gas tank. Between the bladder and the fuel cell can they are thicker than a metal gas tank.
