Three words: TOO FAWKING QUIET. If that is a racing beat exhaust, it is way too quite for my liking. Sounds stock. IMO, sounds like ****.

Only the muffler then? I guess it would be quiteter than stock with that. The racing beat muffler does muffle better than the stock one.

i figured the RB muffler made it quieter because all i can hear is the fan. i bought it with the muffler already on and didnt get a chance to hear it before. the engine has a whine to it. not like any other 7 that i have owned.

You only notice the whine more because the exhaust is so quiet.

An e-fan is only loud when you actually have it on. The clutch fan is always on, and therefore you are always going to here it. The clutch fan is also VERY loud compared to an e-fan. Thats one of the reasons I went to an e-fan.

I just watched the vids again, and i think you succeded in totally eliminating any exhaust noise. even on a normal car you can here some sort of exhaust note when you rev it right up like that, but on your car, all you hear is the engine whine.

Did you have those slash-cut tips added? I thought RB mufflers had rolled tips.

YOUR clutch fan is always on, nomally you should only hear it on startup and at hot idle conditions.

j/k lauren. i cut it out because the pictures speak for themselves. the tips were on the muffler when i bought the car. i don't think they were modified in any way.

i hear it when i am driving, especially when just starting off. i dont hear it when i first start the engine cold. it kicks on when it starts to warm up. hence it being a thermal type fan clutch.
