2 gen oil cooler on s3

ive done this conversion today no problems but the only think was the water pipes, where the orgional beehive cooler sat you have 2 water pipes on from the beehive the other from the heater matrix, i have a s2 hard pipe (the one from the rad end to heater matrix) so i fitted that and ended up blocking off the shorter of the 2 pipes, is there a better way or is that how everyone else is doing it?
