I've found the price really depends on where you are trying to sell it. Does it have any rust?

It's very hard to get more than 800-1000 for a 1st gen.

Here in Central Ohio, got a couple of nibbles on my '85 GSL which I offered a $1,500....Lots of new parts on 'er, but no sell....Which is really Okay with me, as it would break my heart to see 'er go. Thinkin' of modifying the BeJesus outta 'er, turn 'er into a rice-boy smoker...Heh, heh, heh...

Denny, from the 'ol corncrib....

I bought my 1985 GSL-SE in Seattle two years ago for $1900. It was in good running condition, good mechanicals and electricals and etc, and the paint was faded but it was rust-free. It had been for sale for 2 weeks, in a city with a good local economy and where sports cars are popular... I was the first person to make the guy an offer in that two weeks, incredible as that seems, and I paid him what he was asking for it.

I don't know about Gig Harbor, but in Seattle you'd probably get about $1500 for a good-running GSL with some minor rear body damage. The spare parts don't add much to the value of the car, and may present storage problems for some people.. yeah, like it's a problem or something!

Anyway, remember that most buyers aren't all that serious, so don't drive much out of your way to show your car. You may want to post a "for sale" ad in the NW forum.. there are some good first-gen folks in that forum.

Mid East Coast Price

Seen a straight TBM with Grey interior GSL for sale here @ $1000

I can see oil on the diffy, possible leak or clogged breather filter.

Seam Split on the driver seat.

Some large scratches on the hood.

Dunno 'bout rust yet, I'll check it sometime.
