...good question. For one thing...the clutch hydraulic system is different...the T/O bearing mechanism is different. You would need the Flywheel/clutch/pp, etc from the FD....plus making sure the rear counter weight is correct for balance...
...unless you're planning over 300HP from your 12A, the '84-85 GSL-SE trans is fine. Much easier install....less $$ by far too!

With work probably. I dont know for sure. BUT I have heard of FD guys swaping in TII trans. I figured that because you can easily make a TII trans fit a FB that an FD trans can be made ti fit?
