The wheels and interior need a little work.
Hi Directfreak,
The interior is being doen right now The pics were taken when the car was just a few days out of the paintshop, and I was still reassambling the whole thing.
I have now taken the whole interior out, put new carpet in (well, used carpets, but in very good condition), and replaced the dash with a clean one. The other trim still has to go in, that's tomorrows job. Every panel is retrimmed in the same material as the seats, that's why it takes some time (thanks mom, you're doing a great job!). But the results are superb. I will post the pics once the car is really finished.
The wheels are the next job. They are not to bad, a bit of polish and elbow grease will make them shiny again More pics soon,
Bart

Still going to get them, glad I drove around on the 17's for a little while. I am set on 15" rims now. lol The 17's look nice, but I think I will be much happier with 15's
As for ordering the wheels, I was wanting to get the rims and a set sticky tires before the first local autox. Nobody had the rims I wanted in stock and I tried everywhere. So siad screw it for awhile and bought a stand alone EFI system instead

If I can find a set at a decent price I might end up going with some late model 15" miata rims.

The car does look great. It's an "S" model right?
What's under the hood? What year is it?
How difficult was it to put the FD seats in? - I always hear different opinions on that.

Here's my baby.

Codenamed "Project: Bubba Jr./ Bubba II" (can't decide if it's a reincarnation of a lost spirit of my previous car.)

Enjoy. I know I do.

Cars interior is almost finished now, pics will be up soon.
It's a 1982 model, in Belgium models were different from the US ones, we didn't get those S, GS, GSL....etc codes. Mine used to be a base model, without power wondows and remote control mirrors. Of course now it has those goodies too
Under the good is 12A, no mods internally. The engine was bought brand new two years ago, now has about 10.000 miles. It does had all the emission controls removed and a Mikuni carb and racing beat exhaust installed.
And the FD seats aren't easy... Made a custom frame to mount the seats to the rails for the driver side. The passengers side is fixed, using the outer rail, but a frame for the inner one (transmission tunnel obstructs).
It's not too hard, if you can live with fixed passenger seat, but otherway, I'd have no idea how to mount them...

A friend of mine bought this one, but a Mazda engineer has told him that it's not quite right, it goes fine though, both ways.

This is mine, it needs some touch up paint.

It now sit's lower, with better tires and a nicer looking exhaust, and all the stickers are gone except for the 2nd gen Mazda RX-7 decals.

YA!! GO JOLT.... being in College, I practically live off the stuff (luckily there's a Quickie (the corner store) less than a block from here that sells them)

Here's mine, I can't wait to get her running... oh ya, and I'll be putting up a page soon, I have crazy-big webspace with the college, so does anybody mind if I post a page each for your pics? It'd be awesome to get forum member's car pics on there.. (yes, I know there's already a site, but not everybody has posted there..)

any case:

Here is a rather dated pic of my '85 GSL. I still have the stock rims but the car currently has 15" ROH 5 stars rims and a glass roof on it. I'll post better pics when the weather is better!
