1st Gen Owners Please Read!

The RX7 Revolution is trying to get some ideas for a mini-tech session that we would have for 1st gen owners during the event.

Could the FB owners post under this thread the types of things they'd like to see? Something that won't take all day (we also want you to drag race).

TII conversions might take a bit long, but we'll entertain all ideas.

Thanks!

Hmmmm...how about a performance driving techniques seminar... and set up an autocross? Drag racing is enjoyable but the road course is where the RX-7 truly shows its colors

Yes. An autocross is expedient, and good clean fun especially if you have the equipment to kit out the starts and speed traps.

Other than that, general interest stuff like dealing with flooding, proper fogging for seasonal storage, etc. might work.

When I was in the Army my corps had a ****** Jeep that a 6 man crew would carry onto the parade square in pieces, assemble it (in about 12 minutes) and drive off. Of course it was all quick-connect fittings, but the audience loved it.

Thanks to the both of you for the input. Since this is our inaugeral year we have to limit a few things, but we are currently negotiating with the local SCCA group so that they might hold an auto-x event on the back part of the track and give us discounted pricing for those who were looking to do that.

Please keep posting here with ideas, or please let us know if there is an idea someone mentioned that you would like to see as well.

Also, don't forget to pre-register for the event, it'll save you a few bucks when the actual registration time rolls around.

Links to the website are in my Sig.

Thanks!

I wouldn't mind making Rotorhead.ca a sponsor of the event, but it's unlikely I can attend. In lieu of the accomodations and meals offered to sponsors, could I arrange banner placement on your site?

I know!

How about a 4-port 13B conversion?
It shouldn't take that long, and you can even use my SA as the recipient!

Let me think about that one for a moment!

NO!

But, don't let this stop others from entering their requests!

Thanks for the input so far everyone. We just added a professional PFC tuner for the FD guys, and given the input we are getting here I'm sure we'll announce something soon for all the FB attendees.

But, don't stop entering ideas or agreeing with someone else's idea. We are still taking suggestions!

Well, I'm supposed to stay tight-lipped about this, but...

Let's just say I'd keep an eye out for some sort of very exciting announcement this week for all the Auto-X guys.

I'm going to put these items into a poll or something else to figure determine interest, so please get your ideas in soon.

Thanks!

So far, the only ideas I have been given for mini-tech sessions that will be useful to FB owners are:

dealing with flooding
proper fogging for seasonal storage

Should I start a poll on these now, or wait for more ideas?

benifits of enhanced flow (actual dyno testing with K&N filter versus without, with RB exhaust versus without, with K&N and RB versus without, and perhaps one or two other exhaust manufacturers.

I'll second that! These are the easiest and most productive improvements.

How about a engine building seminar... there are allot of guys out there that work on there cars but don’t want to attempt to rebuild there motors... I think it would be a great idea to show people proper assembly techniques as well as porting techniques explaining port design overlap etc...
