You can also get the hood at, Mariah Motor Sports. Also, the light cover to allow cold air into your intake.

the 1st pic is custom deal... just like the set i did on my 81 gsl. it was a miata kit that was cut and welded and **** to get it to work right... the bigest part it getting them to open and close right. I have a working prototype made i just need to find a set of lights that give off the right light pattern. the miata lights SUCK and leak in water. The only set i have seen are 360$ for just the lights. im waiting on extra funds so i can buy them. if you SEARCH sleepy eye headlight kit you will see my gray fb with front dam and vented light lids

Can you modify the FB motor same way as done to FD motor? Lights stop opening at a prescribed point. Then go rest of way up first, then down, to close.

Good idea you could save $200, lol

Why would a "controller" cost $200?? Nice profit!

The MidTenn kit is one my car,but its far from a bolt on.The lower trays require trimming and the dual rectangular light I got in the economy kit wont both fit(plus they suck as headlight, not legal).

I kept 2 rectangulars as high beams, but used 2 rather large, but legal Hella projector pods as my lowbeams. They take an H9 bulb,I upgraded to a high watt, super white bulb.
The lids also have to be trimmed to fit the FB.I had them cut by Tapp Plastics.

In all, the cost of the kit was followed by several hours of labor,150 bucks worth of Hella lights and bulbs,10 bucks worth of weatherstrip to mount the lids,a couple bucks for the black vinyle to cover the back section and the 25 bucks to have the lids cut.Its not weatherproof, but it opens up easily for cleaning.
Would I recommend it,yea......if your creative and have tools.
If you want a bolt on kit without any hassle, get the CP setup.

Mine could be better too.
Im happy with the look, its not goofy like the CP kit(my opinion) its the quality of the light output Im not fully happy with.Im thinking of buying some fiberglass and just making new one-piece buckets, then getting some better, higher wattage lights. The Hellas are bright, but dont flood much, just pencil point illumination.Might just try some discreet driving lights to supplement the headlights,we'll see.

Its sucky, messy work, but you can make anything with mat and resin......

I'm going the laser cut / tig'd aluminum basket way, The CP lights are similar in light output, it seems bright and good but just not as good as I'd like it to be.
What Hellas are you using? the CP kit has driving lights and I am looking into actual Hella headlamps that are used in the 3rd gen Kits, real headlamps.
