Being a 1st gen owner, this pic made me smile!!

 

the rx8's are nice and slow. but they handle great.
I think they run 17's in the 1/4 mile. untell you mod them

 

Yah they need some pep, dam emmisions.

 

that is not hard to do. I have beat several running around town.
I want to catch one on the interstate to see what they really got!

 

Yeah, the RX-8 should be faster than it is. Anyone who watches Best Motoring saw an Integra keep up with an RX-8 on Tsukuba circuit. That was depressing.

Still consistently gets on C+D 10 Best though. It's pleasing to see a rotary on there.

 

Why is that 7 racing a family sedan? =p

The gen 1 RX-7 got thrown out of both the European and British Touring Car Championships because it only had two doors and it had been winning against four door family sedans.

 

nah i ran a 15.2 in my friends. it doesnt get too much better than that tho until mods come in to play .

 

I need to get ahold of one and figure out how to route the emissions off. That alone should net us a good amount of horsies. . . .

 

The '05 RX-8s have more power than the '04 models, according to my brother whom is aching to get one. I haven't been keeping up on it lately.

 

i have seen a few mags claim 14.8 in the 1/4. still could be faster

 

just looking at that picture the 8 is probably bone stock, and the fb probably runs in the spec rx7 class. rx8's are nothing to mess around with, the 6 speed has a 5.9 0-60. in my opinon that is pretty quick. rx8's are wicked on track too......with the right driver. that 8 driver in the picture is probably not as good as the 7. but meh, long live the fb!
