Hey Pedestrian X,
Be easy on Sarah, chances are that she just doesn't know the differences between the generations!
So For Reference:
1979-1985 1st Generation
1986-1992 2nd Generation
1993-Current 3rd Generation
I'm sure sarah if you post in the 2nd Generation section, or the "For Sale" section of the forum, someone will be interested in buying it.

Well, automatics are great candidates for the 13B swap into the 1st gen. You can be assured that they've never been overly-abused
So I don't fault Sarah at all. In fact, any chica who's selling a 7 gets instant "hot points" in my book

This car presents a conundrum. It's very low-mileage and said to be in overall excellent condition. Therefore it would be a shame to just pick the motor out and leave the body to sit in a junkyard. But it's an automatic, therefore not very desireable for a lot of people. So do you sell it or keep it or what?
I'd say keep it! That would be a hard car to find again. Not very many low-mileage RX-7s, it is a pretty old car after all.
Another even better possibility, swap a manual transmission in there.
Either way, I wish you luck in figuring things out. And welcome to the board.

I'm a lazy typer too, but in a different way. I've been typing so long and so much, that my lazieness comes in keeping my eyes open. For instance, I'm currently typing this with my head layed back on the backrest of the chair, with my eyes closed, half asleep.... I think I'm gonna get to bed soon, damn this lack of being able to sleep has been killing me.
About the second gen for sale though... I personally have never liked the second gens, but if it's really in good condition, I'm sure one of the second gen guys would love to have it.
Hell, what I'd probably do is just do an engine SWAP.... because I know somebody here has been trying to put a 12a into a 2nd gen, and if he could do it, I'd make the 2nd gen a nice 12a and sell it. :P Keep the 13b for myself and my FB.. hehe Or get it rustproofed, put some huge winter tires on it, and use it as my winter car Nah, just jokin' guys, I'd never do that to an RX, of any generation.
