Angry 1985 rx7 gsl-se wiper motor issue!

Ok so i have a problem with my wiper motor going in and out! some days it will work and others it will just stick. It does it more on the fastest speed compared to the middle speed! I won a working one off of ebay and it just came in the mail today! the problem is i cannot get the old motor out to replace it! it feels like its stuck to the wiper arms that sit way down in the cowl. I have pulled the 3 little screws out on top thinking that would do it but its a no go. how can i get down in there to pop the motor off of the wiper arms without teaing everything up?

Thanks

Tagging along since my wiper motor just died too. Has kinda sucked with all this unusual rain we've been getting here...

there is a nut connected to the wiper motor and the arm that moves the wiper assembly (thing that goes back and ofrth under the cowl), you have to loosen it. It is hard to get to.

After the nut is lose enough so that you can move the wiper assembly part that moves the wipers, move the wiper assembly (thing that goes back and forth under the cowl) so that it takes up the least amount of space. You will have barely enough room.

"With out tearing everything up" Good! Shows you have mechanical aptitude such that my half *** description makes sense to you.

Your wiper bushings are probably corroded. Put liquid wrench or pb blaser and work them until the move freely.

u have to remove the cowl and take the wiper motor and workings out as an assembly(4 bolts). then swap the motor out. already had this problem, the wiper shaft bushings r corroded. is it just the motor u won on ebay? if it's the assembly u won, just swap the whole thing out.
