1985 gsl-le dies when cold(help)

I have a 85 gsl-le and the car dies when it is cold. If I let it sit and warm up for 15 minutes it usually is fine. I know it is best to let the car warm up, 5 minutes should be fine. When I leave the house and get to the first light it dies every time. What part do I need to check or replace? You help is appreciated.

before you start your car give your gas pedal one pump to kick in the fast idle cam. otherwise the throttle shaft hangs up and your car essentially can't choke itself. but it sounds like it could be more than that, like a vacuum leak, possible TPS out of adjustment (doesn't sound like that), or sticky BAV valve.

but how is your idle once warm, is it smooth up and down the RPM's?
