1984 or 1985 rx-7 GSl-SE Wanted

I am looking for excellent to mint condition 1st Gen 1984 or 1985 GSL-SE. If you have any ideas where I can find one post it here or send me a private message.

I live in Los Angeles, but open to buying one from another area.

Req's - no rust (or any type of bubbling) or accidents, manual transmission, black interior.

Thanks

They came in red, gray, and brown.

I always wanted a Tender Blue one with leather, 'til I actually saw the brown leather inside.

I got used to the red real quick

I have the red, and I looked long and hard to find a Tornado Silver on Red... most had gray interiors...

The red goes great with all of the accent lighting on teh inside... the gray just looks plain.

All GSL-SEs had a manual tranny and IIRC the 85 had a slightly lower fifth gear (4.08 vs 4.09) or something like that.

In all honesty, if you want a REALLY GOOD condition GSL-SE, you can't be too picky about the colors. Mine is beige, and beige was NOT my first choice.

Keep in mind the car is going to be 18 or 19 years old, and a lot of them are gone away to the big yard in the sky or something like that...

Good luck and happy hunting.

My GSL has the custom metallic grey paint and the plush red velour pimp interior..My wife and I love it..
It reminds us of the honeymoon suite we stayed in at the Pocono's

Mine's no longer beige...!

I think that color pattern was pretty popular on the SE's actually. That paint looks very good, and my factory paint was still top notch after 20 years. Just a few door dings and shopping cart scrapes that were a bit browned from rust and age.

All cleaned up with application of 2004 paint color! Amazing what choosing a more modern paint color can do for your car. That picture does bring back memories for me, however. (The first one - the second one about makes me sick to my stomach.)

Parting for a project car, or dead?

It's going back together, eventually.

I hated the beige at the time so i spray painted it flat white. I was such an ignorant 16 year old, i'd kill to find another SE in the condition mine was. Absolutely flawless.

Got a very decent looking 84 GSLSE with a brand new Atkins Rotary engine for $3500 Firm. It is and original paint and interior, rust free car, A lot of new everything on it. And it looks good. But no dreamers, if not serious, please don't bother. The engine doesn't have have 15,000 miles on it. New tires, Brand New Rx-7 Bra (dealer) and both sunroofs. All hydraulic lines, power lines, clutch, p/s box have been replaced new.
