ON 1983 RX-7 GSL - Engine Swap Survey

I'm looking for ideas or suggestions for the engine in my newest project car:

• rebuild the stock 12A (keeps the car somewhat authentic)
• swap in a 13B GSL-SE (keeps the car period correct)
• or swap in a 13B Renesis (extends the life of available engine parts)

Here is the 13B GSL-SE engine that I’m rebuilding:

Here is the 13B Renesis engine that I’m rebuilding:

This is a Hooptie. Just trying to save this RX7 from ending up in the scrapyard.

I will be selling the car once it's done. I still have my 1980 SA RX7 (original owner).

that's a tough one. i guess this is why you made a survey, eh

you already know you're not keeping it, so why do a swap? on the other hand, you will need a 12A for your '80 someday. as i said, it's a tough one.

Will this car need a salvage/rebuilt title for you to sell it once you get it back on the road?

Wow, I'd set it on fire for insurance money before putting a nissan motor in it.
