Well my best bud FireGslse came over today with his SWEET tornado silver FB that he is selling ($800 ask him bout it).. And we went over to my long forgotten SA project restoration.
It had been sitting there for MONTHs and MONTHS, I have been a lazy boy. Anyways it had no gas tank, and a later model carb on it, it was not running. So I hooked up an old external fuel pump off a 1975 Frieghtliner BUS (thanks G-pa) threw the feed end into a gas tank (red) I had full of $3.29 regular fuel, cranked her over and RRRRRR. RRRRRRRRR.RRRRRRRR purred like a kitten.!!
It was running a little rich due to the fact that the BUS pump flows way too much fuel and I had no regulator hooked up. But I held the gas pedal down brought it up to 6K and then let off... WOW after sitting forever it started right up! I am going to do the rats nest removal, put in a gas tank and finish restoring her. It was overwhelming having all these cars laying around but actually having it run felt great!
Tommorrow he is comming back over and we are going to put my gsl-se on the road. I will keep you updated on the progress.... YEAH!!!!!
