ok so here is what i found racingbeat for a little over 200 dollars, will this make my car not sound like im trying to be cool by being loud or something? lol

Power Pulse Muffler
2.5-Inch ID - 304 Stainless Steel

Racing Beat offers two versions of our universal Power Pulse mufflers for use in the design and manufacture of a custom exhaust system for your street or race vehicle. Manufactured using 304 stainless steel inside and out, this muffler unit offers sound reducing performance at a very reasonable price!

The size of this muffler is: 8.5" Wide x 6" High x 18.5" Long.

and

Power Pulse Presilencer-Medium
3-Inch ID - 304 Stainless Steel

Racing Beat offers two versions of our 3-inch ID Power Pulse Presilencers for use in the design and manufacture of a custom exhaust system for your street or race vehicle. Well-suited for the demands of high-power turbo applications, the oval-shaped 3-inch ID presilencer can be adapted to fit into tight spaces under your car. Manufactured using 304 stainless steel inside and out, this presilencer unit offers sound reducing performance at a very reasonable price!

The size of this presilencer is: 6.25" Wide x 4.875" High x 15.75" Long. For increased sound compression, we offer a slightly larger version which measures: 7.25" Wide x 4.875" High x 15.75" Long.

these two together should do the trick.... im thinking so since they are actually made for a rotary engine, a muffler and a presilencer for the rx7 on the rx7 should work wonders... i hope. im going to order the stuff next week and we will see i guess. but if anyone has any experience with these let me know.... or just let me know from your knowledge on the subject. Id rather know im not going to be happy before i make the purchase. Thanks again. K.C.

+1 Also with a chambered muffler it will reduce the amount of flames that get out but it is also more prone to blowing up(like my monza) beacuse of the preasure that builds up inside, even tho as shown with the borla xr1 thread strait thrus can pop to!

I guess i took to long to post ha this is now pointless cuz he decided to go Rb!

Why not just run two of the universal 2.5 inch mufflers? I dont think theres a huge difference in the muffler and the presilencer except for the size of the case (I may be wrong). If you could fit both 2.5 in units, (one off the header and one as the exuast outlet) It should be quiter than running the one of the presilencers(smaller case=less packing=more noise)

Oh and the horrible noise you endure now is from the flowmaster! Ive run them and they sound shrill and metallic, besides that they are restrictive and ugly.

The universal mufflers are big. They won't fit as a presilencer.

Its a shame how much money and time i have put into this car, and still have to sink more money and time into it.... I am getting close.... and she is running like a champ. All thats really left, is odds and ends. Im going to spend about 250 more dollars, on this exhaust adventure on top of the 175 i already have in the exhaust. I think im going to call flowmaster direct and tell them they suck for saying that muffler is for a 79 rx7 with 1.1l engine. I doubt it will do me any good but hey its worth a try. Friday hopefully i will get my new exhaust parts offered. And the friday after hopefully ill get my paint bought :-). Then im going to spend one weekend prepping it for paint, the next weekend spraying :-) It makes me happy, the car will truly look near mint. I wish i could afford some good wheels, but thats a later on sort of thing, I was thinking taller tires to fill out the fender wells may do for now.... Whats the tallest that will fit the wheel, can you go up a good bit from stock or what, i havent really noticed anyones tires looking bigger than mine on the stock wheels, but maybe i havent really paid attention. I guess i could ask the tire shop! Anyhow i thank everyone on here.
