18" Wheels on a first gen

I did the search, but came up empty-handed. Does anyone have any pics of a first gen with 18" wheels? I'm just curious to see how it would look. Can anyone help me out with some pics? Thanks in advance!!

18" wheels will fit but you need to switch over the front suspension to coil over type so you can use the narrow springs....otherwise the tire will hit the bottom of the stock spring perch//and the coil spring itself....18"will fit the rear fine... hope that helps

Thanks for the input guys. That's some excellent info, 680RWHP, I'll keep that in mind. I've had 17's on my SE at one time and really like the look and feel of them on the car. I am just hoping to see some pics of a first gen with a set of 18's. It will help me to narrow down my wheel choices. Thanks again!

Personally I wouldn't even think about it. 16" is just right IMO. A good set of 15" wheels looks great too. But I can't remember ever seeing a 1st gen with 18" rims.

Here's a couple pics.

These wheels don't belong to this car, but who cares.

Thanks to Nathan (who owns the car) and Grant (who owns the wheels) for the pics.

Note, the car is lowered and doesn't use coil-overs. The wheels are just a good offset.

Damn, that's a beautiful car! Those are the only 18s I've ever seen that I liked, I've seen those in 17s b4 and thought they were cool, too.

Nah Sorry. They are to fit a S3 (114.3mm), but that's all I know.

These wheels use the same centres as FR17s (as seen on AJC13B, but use a taller rim section to get to 18". IMO they don't look as good as FR17s. They still look good though.

Personally, I think anything over 17" generally looks rediculous on a 7, but those gold 18's on that green 7 look awesome. Only thing that would make them look better were if they were somewhere in the 15" to 17" range : P
