Radio Attenna

I swapped out the stock radio in my 1st gen and the attenna does not go down now. I heard somewhere that you need to sorta hotwire the attenna through the rear turn signal to get it to work. Has anyone done this?

Yes, but I always stick a Harada in there when I get a new rex and do the stereo routine, so I've never actually read the article or tutorial...it's only $36.95 new off of eBay anyway, for Pete's sake....

the antenna is made so that when the radio is turned off the antenna goes down and when the radio is turned on, the antenna goes up.

Yes, I know how the attenna is made to work, but it does not work that way with a new stereo. And as far as Mar3 goes....What?
