17 IN Wheels
Ok I personally feel like it might be a littel over kill.
I wouldnt really go higher than 16 but I like these one set of wheel sim looking at,and they would just be wheels to cruize on.
I have a few questions,
1)Can someone post up many pics of 17 in wheels on a 7 so I can get the idea?
2)Hows the ride/handeling?
3)Do the wheels still sit inside the fender?
any info will help
Thanks

Keep in mind that this car is NOT lowered in any way. You should be aware that you still might have problems rubbing if your springs are worn out. I am running 205/40r17s in front, 215/40r17s in rear. As far as handling goes, I think my car handles like crap with my 14s on it. BUT, it definantly rides better with more rubber and less rim. You do realize that you are opening up a lot of opinions with this thread. Anyway, heres a pic with the 14s. Good luck!

love the braaaap
17's are the absolute biggest i would put on a 7. Beyond that they just start to look too big on the car, which is not a good thing. It really comes down to personal taste I guess. 16's look real hot on a 7 IMO.
As for rubbing and whatnot, that comes down to your offset. I have a set of 14" american racing outlaw 1's with about a 15mm offset and the widest tire I can fit is a 195/65. Even then they rub on the front fenders, with the fender lip rolled over. I'm going to try to get a 205 on there, but I have a feeling i'm going to have rubbing problems. Oh well. There are ways to fix that. I would suggest a wheel with a 35mm offset. That should allow a 205 wide tire pretty easily.

bad 83,nice looking ride,Did you have to roll the lip in the back for the 215?
what the offset and lug pattern on the 17?
680,
Nice lookin ride.
I dont know if you remember me,But I have been tring to contact you.

I have other supension questions.
Nice pics and info guys, keep the coming!
Im glad to see the 17s DONT look like 24s on the first gens.
I failed to mention to you guys that the wheels im looking at are 4x114.3 with a 40+ offset.
I can get space/adaptors made locally for about $200.
Im going to do it,cause I can ALWAYS change my wheels,Most tuner wheels are 40 offset.
Also any wheel with decent lip is 17 and bigger
I love the look of the 15s on the car,BUT the 205/50/15 tires are so much more expensive than ****** 16s or 17s.
If any of you guys want to throw up brand/model of wheels that are 4x110 let me know so I can research them.
What happend to ROH snipers?
Thanks for the info guys

I think the company that makes them is Simons
http://www.simmonswheel.com.au/range.html#
There is a group buy for them on the ausrotary.com forum But you will have to arrange for them to be shipped from Australia.
http://ausrotary.dntinternet.com/for...ic.php?t=74874
Check out ausrotary.com the majority of the fist Gen 7 have 17'' or bigger on them I guess that the style that is popular now just look around and I am sure you will see lots of cars with 17''. Some look good and others are just ok. But I did see some that I wouldn't mind getting.

17's aint bad if you choose the right ones.
Depending on tire profile, you might have to lower the car a bit to get the right stance. And its tough to lower an FB more than 1" without bottoming the struts. Also, they can look a little goofy with tiny 12A brakes behind them, but again it depends on the spoke design and the overall look.
My Advans go well with my widebody and big brakes, and you can get them in lots of sizes in the SE 4X114.3MM lug pattern.Light and strong, but expensive.

I did wind up rolling the lip on the rear fender wells. The only reason I did that was when I had a full tank of gas, passenger, and oh yeah, the speaker box in the back with the two 10s. It would bottom out in the rear. It would only catch the very edge of the tire, but I didn't want to take a chance on cutting one. Best suggestion, go too a local wheel and tire shop to make sure what bolt pattern your car is, and then try to find what will fit. Let the cursing begin!!!!!!

drugblock12a,
I see you have drums in the back,so you are running the 4x110 set up.
What offset are them wheels?
A local shop who drills, and make adaptors told me I needed a spacer/adaptor made for 40+ offset wheels. If I dont need it,I just need the wheels drilled, which I would save $100.
Can you get pics of your car, standing in the front, and behind it?
So I can see how the wheels sit on the car?
Also,do they rub?
