17 inch wheels on fb

Hey guys Ive looked on site and I have found threads about wheels for the fb but only in 13, 14, 15 inch wheel size. I have seen countless fbs especialy on those aussie sites, and www.mazspeed.com and lot of them are running 17 inch wheels.
Yes... some are running fender flares but some are not. My question is what is the width of the 17 inch rims on those cars with out fender flares? Do you have to do mods on the front end suspension to get them to work?

Any info would be great...thanks

on the se, 17x7 with a 38mm offset and 215/40-17 tires fit fine, you might have to roll the fenders some depending on offset/tires used.

Check the Ausrotary.com forum. Simmons FR17's are popular and look great on old rotaries

Been seriously contemplating some 17's. How is the handling effected with this size of wheel ??

Cheers

17's usually result in a little bit stiffer ride and they also tend to "follow" the road more than the stock set up.

When you have a good bit of power 13's don't have the contact patch that you need. In my sig the blue car has 13x10's with double 0 tread wear racing rubber and they would never hook.
