16 Year Old Takes His First Spin Around The Block

My 16 year old son got to drive his 1985 for the first time today. He bought it a few weeks ago and had to do some ignition problem diagnosis and repair. Got it running great and drove it around the block! Needless to say, he was VERY happy!

Yep. I think he will have a lot of fun with this one. Has a Weber clone carb, header and MSD.

My first car was a 79....took out a few street signs with that thing when the back end snapped back a little quicker than I expected. Had a lot of fun with that car.

I hope he has a lot of fun with it, but takes better care of it than I did mine!

My first car was an 84 S. Was in rough shape, and inevitably died to the cancer, but it hooked me for life. Similar circumstance happened to my neighbor, thus forming our inevitable friendship. I am sure he will love the experience!

My first was a 84 gsl. A parts car me and my dad put back together, took 6 months because all of the electrical connections were cut and the dash was in the back seat along with everything else. After getting all of the rat pellets out and etc, she drove great. The person who bought it said it was one of the cleanest he had seen. I take pride in that. 2 rx7s later...... Lol

My wife bought a brand new RX in 1988 and still drives it every day. This is my son's first car. I'm the only one in the family without a RX.

Got my first at 17 and that's what hooked me. Just make sure if he's going to college he doesn't spend all his college money on doing crazy rotary things
