I believe that puts out 4000 CFM and is what most people use for electric fans in our cars. I've been looking at some on ebay lately.

Do you need to make a shroud? I'm not quite sure how you'd do that.

No, it actually fits really well. just go to NAPA or whatever, and pick up some "radiator accesorie zip ties" or whatever the call them. What year is your car? cause there was 2 diffrent radiators, a short one and a tall one. The Fiero fan fits one reall really well, and the taurus fan fits the other equally as well. If you get the wrong one, it still fits, you just gotta trim the plastic shroud on the fan a bit, or it hang below the rad a few inches. neither are a big deal.

I have an '85 GS.

Interesting. I'll have to see if they've got a thermoswitch too.

Man its been awhile since I had my FB... I had an 85 and I cant remember what one I had. Just measure it and find a taurus and a fiero in the junkyard. there should be a few.

The Taurus fan definately pulls enough CFM to cool your rotary car... having 2 speeds. It also draws ALOT of amps, especially upon initiating the fan... a BIG burden on our measely electrical system. Be ready to be installing a new alternator after awhile.

I went with a Fiero fan until that died. Now back to stock.

The taurus fan works great. You must get one from the 3.8l model. Also use a bosch relay for wiring it so there will be no strain on the electrical at all. I run low speed full time. I have a thermo switch for it but I have been so happy with the consistant temp running low speed that I haven't bothered to install it. With some trimming the fit is ss clean it almost looks factory.

No joke, when I first read that I couldn't believe it but its pretty common to use that in muscle cars these days. The equivalent aftermarket fan is like $200 bucks.

I got lucky with mine, there was a guy pulling the rad out of a 3.8l taurus and i asked him if he was taking the fan, he said no, and it was just sitting there waiting for the taking. To top it off fans were a weekend special at pick your part for 5 bucks.
