ive considered it so here's what i know

mounting it will be the easy part, you'll have to use a 1st gen front cover....a GSL-SE front cover actually. you'll use the 13bt transmission so you'll have to make a custom transmission mount i think, and you'll need to get a cutsom made drive shaft or shortened drive shaft.

if you go with the stock 13bt wiring harness and ecu, it'll plug up normally, untill you get to the ignition...which is a big hard mess i cant explain. people recomend you go with a stand alone ecu. the ignition situation is much more simple, you just need four ignition coils. but if you have no expirience wiring that kind of stuff, or tuning...its not easy.

also, you'll probably want to go with a front mount intercooler since 13bt has a top mount. if you left it like that you'd have to cut a hood scoop in your hood.

i would also recommend getting a manual boost controller and bov.

Mounting is easy,GSL-SE oilpan and front cover on the TII block, and your mounted.

The left side harness is not that hard,if you can read a wiring diagram and can run 10-15 wires, you can do it.If you cant read a wiring diagram, then you shouldnt be attempting this swap!
A high pressure fuel pump will be needed, either external or intank.

Seriously,do a search.Ive typed all this, in much more detail,at least 5 times in the last month!

oops, left those out. you'll also need the pressure regulator......there is a lot of other misc. stuff like air filter, and stuff like that you'll find yourself needing

and i think you need to modify the engine mount, if you use the 13bt transmission and the FB tail shaft then I think you can keep the FB driveshaft and shifter location and such....I think.
Maybe you should use a distributor instead of all this ignition wiring. wouldn't you also need a fuel collector can or baffling in the tank to prevent leaning out and blowing the engine?

Not to be rude but check the first gen FAQ (sticky) at the top of the forum, 4th question down. I've got many pages of info posted in there, pics, drawings, wiring diagrams--all you need.

And yes, searching will get you lots of answers to your questions, and a few more questions you hadn't thought of yet.

From what I hear , the biggest bitch in all this is the tranny ... It DOES NOT get at the same place as the FB one does ... Give youself a long time to figure everything out .. but .. basicly ... you'll run into problems, just fix one at a time, you'll get there ! :P ...

Not to unvail to quickly BUT .... I've got plans for an eventual FD twin turbo in my FB .. BUT SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ! :P not done yet :P that's gonna be a REAL bitch ! loll

Cyas !

Actually, the TII tranny is pretty easy. There are 3-4 things you have to change, but its light work.Just a little off the selector shaft and a couple new holes in the rubber mount, stuf like that.No fabrication or machine work.

The driveline is the most expensive part, requiring a custom part to be made.I wouldnt trust an FB size driveline/ujoints to take the torque.

The most indepth part of my TII project was the fuel tank.I didnt want an external pump,so I had the stock tank modified to accept the TII intank pump and baffle. That required a bit of measuring and careful cutting, then some precise(very careful) welding.
