13B T2 In FB Microtech Bridge Port Stock everything else???

I got a call about a guy who wanted me to check out his car said it wouldnt run right, so me being the good guy i am whent to check it out with my computer in hand. Come to find out this guy has no idea what a rotary is and is lost when i said ECU. all he knoew was microtech, rotary, and i have done it before.

He has a full bridge port engine.
Stock Turbo, Stock Emissions, Stock Injectors, Open diff that will blow up.
My worry is no matter what i change in the tune it will not get enough gas at high rpm i have the injectors maxed at 3000+ rpm's and im wondering how long before that motor blows up.

He only wants it get in and drive around and he didnt know what a bridge port meant.

Should i get a 13b and offer a trade his bridgy for a stock 13b with me swaping them????

i got it tuned to run but i dont think it will last much more then a thousand miles maybe less if he hits boost..

any imput you guys have would be helpful, hopefully im over thinking it.

There's got to be some other problem, unless somehow you ARE able to make 300hp at 3000rpm... with a stock turbo...

Why not tell him he needs larger injectors or it will never run properly? If he doesn't listen then tell him it will blow up and he's been warned. You can only do so much for people that don't know what they are doing.

Nick

If the guy doesn't want to pay out the cash for the injectors that he needs, then he's definitely not going to want to pay for a new motor when that one blows. Nothing will kill a turbo motor faster than fuel starvation.

If you were to trade him your (very nice) 12a, and perform the swap for him, he should consider himself to have gotten a steal of a deal. Your 12a is one of the strongest running motors I've seen in a long time. Also, I know the guy that built and modified that carb for you.

He doesn't want to spend the money for larger injectors, which kinda limits his options and explains my recommendation. This car is being modified by somebody who knows very little or nothing about rotaries. The owner wanted a little more power for his daily driver, but the builder ended up buying him a bridgey with a turbo. Bad call. Now he's in fairly deep, and looking to find a way to save himself...

But even if he spends the $$$ for the injectors, I doubt that the owner is going to be very happy with the setup. I get the impression that he isn't an enthusiast looking for mad horsepower, just a slight upgrade to liven up the car a tad.

The builder has started down the wrong road and needs a way out...
