13b oil pan

Hey I was looking for an oil pan so I can put my 1989 13b Turbo II into my 1982 GSL RX-7. I know I need a different oil pan to allow the motor to cross the crossmember. But what years can I use? I found a 1986 Mazda RX-7 with a 13B non-turbo rotary engine and I was thinkling I could use that. Will it work??

you need to use a gsl-se front cover or a front cover from a 12a (first gens motor mounts are on the front cover), and you must use the gsl-se oil pan. IF you use the 12a front cover you have to either buy motor mount adpaters or fabricate them by slotting the holes on the mounts.

12a front cover will work with 12a oil metering pumps (2 tube) and 13b front cover will work with 13b oil metering pump (gsl-se is 4 tube).

Older 13b metering pump is 2 tube also. I have successfully modified 13b oil pans before, although not from a FC. If you have an extra you could try it.
