13b into a 83
A couple things off the top of my head. You either need the front engone mount 13B into 12A thing from RB or the 13B cross member.
Probably need different fuel tank/upgrade it to the GSL-SE or set up a surge tank.
Bigger fuel pump and FPR
Maybe even fuel Lines
Can probably find a few more things with a search.

To be specific, you need a high-pressure, EFI fuel pump.
If it's an FC 13B, you'll also need a 12A front cover and distributor.
It has been covered a number of times before, I'm sure you can find all the info you need.

You'll need a fb front cover and oil pan (gsl-se) to do it right. Also, because it's an 83, you have a beehive oil cooler if it's stock. You'll need to change that out to a front mount. you'll also need a gsl-se front mounting bar. The one you have now sits back too far. the swap is well worth the couple hundred dollars it'll cost you, but to make it cheaper and easier, I'd suggest you start out with a carb rather than efi.
Good luck

Dont mean to hijack but I'am doing the same thing (se donor car) so is pretty much drop in? My car is a 79 model , the se trany is no good so What clucht combo can I use with the sa trany? Thanks
In that case you should be pretty much plug and play. The things to be prepared for are; On the 83 the engine wiring harness comes in through the drivers side firewall. on the 84-85 it routes through the passenger side firewall. To keep the stock fuel injection system you may need to change the dash assembly out also. You will need a higher pressure fuel pump to feed the fuel injection (an oem replacement gsl-se pump should plug right in).
I don't think fuel tank replacement will be needed until you hit HIGH horsepower (250+), in which case you'll want the se fuel tank for the internal baffle that's not found in a 12a fb tank.

what all you guys are fogetting is that if you plan to run your 13b fuel injected youll need all the sensors off of an f.i. equipped rx. i am talking about mass air flow sensor, throttle position sensor, and others i cant think of now. you could also go the other way and go carbed which i hear is a hell of alot easier you wil still need an intake for a carb . the only one i found is from racing beat and i think it costs about 250. then you still need a carb.
either way you go you guys are gonna have a fun learning experience with your cars. if your not absolutely sure what your doing it is harder than you think.

Don't get scared. Just pay attention to what you're doing. I totally agree that you'd be better to go carb. The efi setup is a big project. You almost need the whole donor car to rob parts from.
Its not a big deal if you research it correctly and ask the right questions.
Dropping an SE engine into a 1st gen is basically the same work as dropping a 2nd gen EFI engine into a 1st gen. So,you can use any info pertaining to TII or FC N/A engine swaps to help gain knowledge.
Yes,the SE swap will be easier than the FC swap since the SE engine is made for a 1st gen.But any 12A equipped car will need quite a few mods done to it to accept an EFI engine.
You will NOT need to rip out the dash.Nearly all the EFI control wiring and boxes are located on a single, large harness that runs out the right side of the firewall. There is also no need to splice into the existing harness that is under your dash. The gauges and idiot lights have absolutely nothing to do with EFI operation,so dont worry about that. The main task is to simplify and adapt the EFI harness' that come with engine,to physically fit in the receiving car, then run power to the appropriate places.
EFI is better than carbs in nearly all aspects. Those that just give up and run a carb will never know what they are missing. It just takes time, patience and the ability to research and read flow charts.Once you are familiar with the systems and functions,EFI is very simple, especially the archaic injection systems the 1st and 2nd gens used.
