13B into 1st gen swap from 12A

I know of an RX7 with a cooked 12A engine. How hard would it be to fit a 13B. What are good donor 13B's from?

welcome to the board.

it's not very hard to put a 13B into the SA/FB Rx-7s. check out the FAQs as mentioned before, but i'll start you off with this:

you can use any 13B that you can get your hands on, but the ultimate choice will probably come down what your goals are. regardless of which 13B you get, you'll need to get an SE oil pan (not sure how that works in Australia since you guys never got the SE, but ...) and you'll need to use an appropriate front cover as well. that gets the motor bolted into the car. everything else is a matter of your chosen setup.

Got a cooked 12a? Rebuild it with port work and then turbo the beast! Who needs a smelly ole 13b anyway?
