13b intermediate housing with 12a?

13b intermediate housing with 12a?

When i pulled apart my 12a to rebuild and port it...i noticed that the intermediate housing was cracked...

What i want to know is if i can use a 13b intermediate housing with the rest being 12a parts?
(please dont harrass if im totally wrong...i havnt checked sizes yet...)

as long as the 13b plate you are using is of the early design like the 12a

hmm...im gonna go out and look...put them side by side and whatnot...also...am i gonna need anything different for my rebuild or will a 12a rebuild kit work?

What year is the 13B? It needs to be 1985 or earlier to work. If it is from an SE, you will have to block the injector holes. You can either put injectors in there and not connect them or you can get an injector plug kit from Mazdatrix (http://www.mazdatrix.com/getprice.asp?partnum=18147).

I've been wondering if one could build a 12a with the GSL-SE center plate, and then find an injector setup the handles gas and nos.. It would require a seperate high pressure fuel pump, and perhaps fuel line, but it could be a perfect sleeper setup.

Food for thought.

dont think ill be needin to use a 13b intermediate housing (i dont think mine was pre-85 anyhow...) i just got another free 12a
