When I need 13's, which is seldom, I run up to the local racetrack. I get used BFG Comp T/A 205/60-13 Legend car tires for ~$5 each.
Beats the heck outta new price......

I got the 205-60/13 HTR 200 Sumitomo tires for my stock 13's from Tire Rack.
Nice tire, good grip. I've seem others using them as track day tires for thier rides.

BUT....i'm not happy with the side wall deflection. Feels like i'm balancing on rubber bands as I transition from one corner to the other during extremely hard driving. My suspension is all new so rule that out as the cause.

Pushing on the side of the car shows how easily these tires wobble.

Maybe it's the stock rims? Too narrow for 205's???

I really should be on 15's for the driving I do.....

I'd say stock rims are too narrow for 205 tires.

Same here. Transitions make the car feel like the tires have to "catch up" for a split second.

That's why I use the Legend car tires. VERY stiff 2 ply sidewall, seeing as they are designed for racing exclusively. However, they are DOT approved, and all-season rated.
