12a wheels on a GSL SE?

I have wheels that are supposed to fit a regular 1985 rx7....is there anyway i can fit these wheels on a GSL-SE?....do i need spacers?, if so what kind and how much do they generally cost? should i expect rubbing even if the wheels fit perfectly on a base model?

i think as long as the bolt pattern has the same amount of lugs you can use wheel adapters.

the base, GS GSL models have the 4x110 lug pattern

GSL-SE has 4x4.5(114.3).

Since the base wheels are smaller diameter and width, there shouldnt be any issues of clearance with spacer-adapters.

Generally custom made ones are about $150 a pair

The adapter would cost more then a set of correct size wheels. Unless your really wanting the 4x110 whells, I'd try to find a set of aftermarket 114.3 mm wheels.

Not to mention that they would stick way out. The SEs use a higher offset wheel than the 12A cars to begin with. The 12A wheel + adapter = stick way out. You could get away going the other direction (SE wheel + adapter) on a 12A car.

Just run the SE wheels or an aftermarket wheel with the SE pattern

What is so special about these 4X110 wheels? If they are a desired wheel, you nay find someone willing to swap with you. Post a pic of them.

lol they're almost the exact same wheel except the GSL-SE wheels are 14's and the others are 13's....it's just that i wanted to switch from black mesh's to gold ones

but originally i wanted to do the switch because the tires on the black meshs popped and i was thinking of a cheap alternative instead of buying a new set of tires, but i guess i should since they're all pretty bald anyways...the gold mesh's i currently have are clean and have fresh tires on em...what a waste :/

I got those on my fc, great tires one day you deside you wanna slide easy just pump em to like 45ish maybe alittle more

I had my rears at 48 for a few days, got alil buzzed and spun out. I keep them at 44 now, fb is lighter so 44ish should be like 48. Run them at 42 or so in the back, not sure about the fronts I just got 912's in the front finally I dunno what the shop pumped em to but it feels great

The 912's seem to last good too, if you dont have em pumped around 40 (Atleast in the rear) I noticed the sidewall would rub against the ground during hard as hell corning, but you cant get it to break loose unlike the other tires I had they don't seem to get damaged by being driven rough.
