I was talking about a full engine rebuild if the problem isnt from the carb

 

But if the compression is good, why would you think that the motor is bad?

 

im scared i might blew up something since when i start it and give gaz the rpm isnt climbing really high and fast and that it throw a lot of blue smoke from the exhaut, it started doing that again all of the suddan when i re-started it to try to look to find the problem

if i resume it started by

- A simple start-up at a friend's house , no idle, stalls, only runs good at WOT

- At home , idle rought but does a lot of backfire, and only runs good at WOT but as soon as I let off gaz, it stall

- At home, broke the choke cable so start it and choke it manually, idles better but can got high un RPM and a bit of blue smoke

- At home , repaired the choke cable, idles as before but even a WOT engine doesnt rev really + a LOT of blue smoke


Note that the car didnt move since he's home

 

As long as the blue smoke smells like gas, and not oil, you're most likely looking at a carb issue. If it smells like oil, then you may have lost an oil seal, but I can't picture that happening while you were sitting in the driveway and playing with the carb.

 

great i was saying to myself im gonna start it again and smell , now it crank, it start but stall immediately i can keep it alive for 2-3s if i got WOT , but after it stalls and in the exhaust well...it smells pure gas lol

 

30 bucks for a carb rebuild kit + 2-3 hours of your time = rotary happiness....

 

i dont know anything about carb, im an injection guy i can hardly figure how to get off the carb and the intake,so i wont rebuild it myself but ive sent PM to some people here who are selling performance carb/intake.
