12a vs13b 6 port carb
12a vs 13b 6 port
If a 13b 6 port came with carb set up, about how much hp tq would you have over a 12a. bone stock. 20hp? This is your educated guess
The reason I ask is that I was thinking about carbing a 13b 6 port if the hp and tq numbers would be roughly 20-25 more hp/tq. How much more weight is a 13b 6 port than a 12a. Of course im hanging this out of a bug so weight issues are important as well.

i'm not understanding this ... why would you compare a 13B with aftermarket upgrades to a bone stock 12A?
anyway, to answer your question - consider a stock 12A to be 100 HP/105 Torque, EFI 13B 135 to 160 HP with 130 to 140 Torque ... a 13B (stockport) with a Dell'Orto will yield about 175 HP (180 if you're THAT good with tuning) and I don't have a torque figure for it. Other carburetors will yield different figures ...
hope that helps

Well, if im not mistaken, a 13b6port never came with a carb, so im trying to ask a impossible question about stock vs stock, when it cant be stock vs stock as the 6 port motor never had a carb.
Ok maybe this is a better question
If both the 12a and the 6 port have no port work, and both have the same exhaust and the same racing beat intake and holley carb, would you assume the 6 port would have aprox 25 more hp.
Im asking this as im not really thinking about porting any of the motors(6 port not a good port motor I hear)but behind my bug, I would like to see 180hp. If I fall short of that, thats fine, but my 12a has run out of external things to do to it,and would like to plan out the next rotary as im fairly hard on cars and I know that about myself and willing to pay the price of speed, and the back up motor.

He answered that,Torque, EFI 13B 135 to 160 HP with 130 to 140 Torque ... a 13B (stockport) with a Dell'Orto will yield about 175 HP (180 if you're THAT good with tuning). The way that I understand it, Since I have never had mine on a dyno), 13B 6 port, with a header, no cats, various other simple mods, can yield 180 HP, where as the 12A will not without porting. I have run a 12A streetport, with various simple mods, like direct fre, ect. before I did anything to my 13B and kicked his ****! Does this help?

Like I said, I kicked the 12A BEFORE I did anything to it. As for thevariance in HP with a Dell'Orto I can't tell you because I am not carbed. I was just giving you the differences in the 12A modded vs 13B stock, so I am EFI.
