12A vs. 13B Distributors -- Difference?

I'm looking for a distributor for my '84 RX, and the junkyard tells me they are different for the 12A and 13B engines. What's the difference?

Also, which other years are compatible?

Slightly different ignition advance curve. It will swap in just fine. You probably can't tell the difference.

Left is GSL-SE. Right is 12A. http://www.geocities.com/cd23c02/dizzy01.jpg

Drag and drop or copy and paste. It's Geocities, you know.

See if you can spot the GSL-SE shaft in this pic. http://www.geocities.com/cd23c02/dizzy03.jpg

When it says it's unavailable, just drag the little e icon (in the address bar) onto the URL and drop it. The pic will show up. It's like the refresh button, but works a little differently. For Geocities, it works every time... untill the page exceeds its bandwidth limit.
