You'd be far better off dropping in a 13BT or even turboing your engine.

13bt would make more power and you're sure to find more plentiful replacement parts.

Not to mention the car already has a 13B in it. Just a matter of swapping the front cover and oil pan.

Obviously the headers couldnt be used, but the rest of the exhaust system would be OK.
Theres nothing wrong with the 12A turbo,Its still better than turboing a N/A or carbed engine. Its just very limited with its tiny turbo and archaic fuel injection.

By modern standards the TII's fuel injection is pretty old too,but you can squeeze 250 HP out of it pretty reliably without an upgraded turbo/intercooler/EFI/internal mods. The 12AT platform is far less popular because of its lack of export to the states and its inherient weaknesses(small turbo, only 2 injectors,no intercooling, lack of knock control). The cost to bring it up to TII output specs/reliability would be an additional cost, comapred to a straight 180-200 hp TII swap.It would be cool though, since its a 12A.

Cant say how youd go about getting replacement parts either, since they were never sold here.

FYI, 12at parts are rare here also. Hell 12a parts are too, but I see cars on yahoo that still have 12ATs in them.

I'm planning on doing the same swap in my gsl this winter. I'm not all that worried about producing a ton of power, as I am more into the entire idea of just having a little bit of a less common swap than say a TII swap (Which I was almost completely set on doing until I found the 12a Turbo on corksport.) If you choose to do it, then at least you won't be alone in doing it, and from what I was told, there are a lot of people on this forum who have already done it.
