12a turbo

I'm looking to get more from my engine with a turbo. I was thinking of going EFI but I'd be paying down debt for oh 100 years. So consequently I'm going to stay carb. I need some help. I've never done any turbo on any of my other cars so I guess I'm a newb in this field. I want to know where to get the best turbo for my 12a all the extras I'd need to make it work. And which carb should I go with. I have a streetported engine and was looking at a holley street carb. But I heard that they hickup when you corner tight. Can you buy some type of seal or bowl to stop this hickup or should I just go with another carb. Thanks!!

hey if you wanted a turbo and fuel injecttion you should look into a 12at. can get up to around 240 hp with some minor work. I'm not saying they are easy to find and get the part you need, but it may be worth looking into.

I've emailed twice no reply I guess I'll have to call but I just havn't had the time to pick up the phone and dial the number. I'd prefer to rebuild it myself but I saw that used 12a turbo on the site anyone know any information on it??

i was told that they do not include the ecu with it. some of the wiring for it may be tough to find. aussie and japan would be good starts for the wiring.

I'm in Saint John New Brunswick. But theres not a whole lot for rex parts and the dealerships arn't much of a help. I think that in total theres around six rx-7s in all of Saint John and I own 2 so.

It's been a couple of weeks since I sent my email to rotaryshack looks like I'm going to have to find time to call. They must be pretty bust not to return an email. Oh well.

Very nice - Welcome to the forum.

Change the Filter on that turbo though, you're choking it.
