Search for posts made by DirectFreak, he has an RE (from a Cosmo) in his car and it makes a good amount of power. I believe somewhere in the forum he made posts speaking about the cost and all of the necessary mods that he had to do to make his car reliable.

yeah man you can't really factor in money on import cars their all gonna bank more. We don't have the luxury of equality as domestics do.

I guess if you can use an FC coilover suspension, with modification, then yes, in a way they DO make them for the FB.

I knew I would go standalone before I started this thread. I'm not concerned about the ECU, but more about the MAF, TPS, CAS, knock-sensor; things like that. Precision, accuracy, and reliabilty of those components are what are on my mind.

Do each have hot wire MAFs, for instance? I forgot what GXL had under the hood, as far as those kinds of components, but would not be surprised that it a the old, "door-type" MAF.
